Still gathering details but it appears that DPVA asked for an emergency Sixth District Committee meeting last night or Levar Stoney, Executive Director for DPVA, simply crashed it.
Levar was in Roanoke for David Layman's funeral which was held Saturday morning. At some point later in the day, the 6th met with Levar present.
The reason I'm thinking it may have been asked for by DPVA on an emergency basis is that some regular channels of communications weren't used and voting members first heard of the meeting while in Roanoke on Saturday morning.
Will let you know more as the situation clears up.

Emergency meeting? I wish I'd known. It felt like work to me. Your facts are wrong, but they do sound deliciously nefarious. The meeting, and Levar's presence, were announced Thursday. (Do you confirm this stuff, or just shoot from the hip?) You'll be interested to know however that just when we'd almost reached consensus on the most ... sorry, the phone's ringing, I'll get back later.
Very peculiar post. As noted elsewhere, David Layman was stricken just as the regular meeting was getting underway last Tuesday. That meeting was going to finalize crucial details for the District Convention and the local caucuses leading up to it. Under the circumstances, understandably, the meeting on Tuesday did not go on and the Saturday meeting was called as many members were expected to be present for David's funeral. DPVA presence was to provide some needed continuity. As the previous commenter asked, do you just make this stuff up?

I sent you details that cleared up this "situation" as you deem it on Sunday. Guess the truth isn't that sensational. Maybe a "sharper" attention to what you blog is in order.
Actually, everybody at the meeting Saturday got copies of the Call to Convention, which should help explain convention protocol, although whether the call might clear up the situation would depend on the as-yet unestablished issues of whether there is a situation and whether it is or ever has been unclear. Adam Sharp was there from the Richardson campaign, and Sam Rasoul from his. I remain curious about whether the blogger here is trying to create contention, truly doesn't understand the situation, or has some other motivation.
Since the blogger doesn't even understand that both the funeral and the meeting were in Buchanan (20+ miles N of Roanoke), I would question their true knowledge of the 6th District.
In all fairness I should point out that I kinda question the blogger's knowledge about the whole topic. I'm just having fun here. The real work of the party goes on in public meetings, not in blogs.
I don't question the blogger's knowledge, but rather his/her intent seems to breed distrust in the 6th district committees.
Agree with jgfritz.... this blog pretended to get real, but quickly lost its sharper image as it turned to the politics of mistrust for political gain. The real work of the Democratic Party, and the NOMINATION, will be determined in our meetings and caucuses.
